Who is the greatest or your favourite Guitarist of all time?
Here is another I'm intrested in as I dont think hendrix was (all tho I'm biased as I think he is a twat) I would say slash could claim the title what you guys think??
Good question my friend
First ones that come to a lot of peoples minds are either the Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton or Jimmy Page
For myself my all time fave is Slash.....I loved Guns N Roses and Slash is simply cool as fuck on top of being a brilliant guitar player. I always loved that Sunburst Gibson he played.
Eddie Van Halen is talented but far too "Widdly widdly" for my liking. Ive went to see both Joe Satriani and Steve Vai in concert in the past and there both extremely talented aswell.
Anybody remember the band Extreme that did "More Than Words" in the early nineties ??? - They had a guitarist called Nuno Bettencourt who was awesome
Other shout outs aswell to Angus Young of AC/DC, Kirk Hammett of Metallica and Joe Perry of Aerosmith

Have to agree with lobo 100% all great bands/artistsExtreme more than words , did'nt they do get the funk out, as well. Things just have not been the same since steps split up.
^^^ - yeah - Extreme did "Get The Funk Out" aswell
I'm going to have to say Hendrix. He's an absolute genius.
A review for "A Film About Jimi Hendrix"
"Clapton and Townsend both feature a lot as they describe their great admiration (and slight jealousy) at the way Hendrix was revolutionising the electric guitar completely. As much as it would be fun to mock them as aged rock dinosaurs their earnest contributions are enlightening and seem worthwhile given that Hendrix is revered as an artist not because of his song writing or anything he stood for socially or culturally but because of what he could do with the guitar and how this inspired other strummers."
was'nt one of the stories that when hendrix first came to britain people like townsend and Clapton turned up in the audience just to watch him or something ?
There is no denying Hendrix though. He is/was brilliant
[image ↗]Yeah, and Chas Chandler from the animals was his manager. Also hung out with Eric Burdon, lead singer with the Animals.
I think Eric Clapton rang Pete Townsend, to discuss how they could combat this new problem (Hendrix)
another one of my faves is Zakk Wylde - managed to see the former ozzy osbourne guitarist live in 1994 with his then band 'Pride & Glory' and they ROCKED
[image ↗]I thought Richie Blacmoore was black

^^^ I like a little of Buckethead. here is what Ozzy said about him
"In an interview with Revolver, Ozzy Osbourne stated that he had offered to have Buckethead play guitar in his band at Ozzfest. Ozzy quickly changed his mind after meeting with him, and realizing that Buckethead would not remove his costume in order to be accepted by Ozzy, said:
"I tried out that Buckethead guy. I met with him and asked him to work with me, but only if he got rid of the fucking bucket. So I came back a bit later, and he's wearing this green fucking Martian's-hat thing! I said, 'Look, just be yourself.' He told me his name was Brian, so I said that's what I'd call him. He says, 'No one calls me Brian except my mother.' So I said, 'Pretend I'm your mum then!' I haven't even got out of the room and I'm already playing fucking mind games with the guy. What happens if one day he's gone and there's a note saying, 'I've been beamed up'? Don't get me wrong, he's a great player. He plays like a motherfucker.""
