Greatist/Favourite Drummer Of all time
being a former Drummer just wondered who you all ranked as being a great drummer ???
For me i love listining to the likes of John Bonham (Led Zepp), Keith Moon (Who), Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Roger Taylor, Ringo Starr (very underated) and Tommy Lee (Motley Crue)

[image ↗]Phil collins?
With me being a violinist (ex) and have no rhythm I am limited to my drum knowledge so this may be a crap drummer but I rate his songs and singing and that is Phil Collins
people kind of look down a bit on Phil Collins these days but the fact remains that he was and still is a great drummer
good good
He is an all round great artist.
I always have some respect for people who write their own songs sing them and can play an instrument,
another couple I used to like are
Matt Sorum (ex cult, Guns N Roses - now Velvet Revolver)

Mark Richardson - formerly of Little Angels, blow & Skunk Anansie

Chad Smith of Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Reni - The Stone Roses
[image ↗]
Alan John Wren (born on 10 April 1964, in Manchester), better known as Reni, was the drummer of The Stone Roses from 1985 to 1995.
Reni is considered by many to be the best drummer of his generation, and the most important drummer in UK indie circles. His laid-back style of off-beat rhythms was complely unique and was very influential in defining the "Manchester sound" of the day. He taught himself drums in his youth as, due to his family situation, he was nearly always around musical instruments in a pub environment. When Pete Townshend of The Who witnessed an early gig by a young Stone Roses, he commented that Reni was the most naturally gifted drummer he had seen since Keith Moon, although he was equally adept at playing guitar, bass and piano.
I like alot of the one already mentioned. i also like tico torres of Bon Jovi
[image ↗]A tough choice but agree with lodo. Roger taylor, Ringo and Phil co
Best drummer ever is.................
[image ↗]Is Tommy Lee on sky one at 9 pm tonight? i might have the wrong guy.
I think Rick Allen of Def Deppard definatly deserves a mention.....
Especially as he learned to drum again after losing an arm in a car crash...
He was probably even better with just one arm....
true - he drums better with one than most people do with two
[image ↗]lobo, your selection is spot on.

March Richardson - formerly of Little Angels, blow & Skunk Anansie

Ive been admiring the abilities of Gene Hoglan the last few days. He's played with Strapping Young Lad and Testament. Because of his time keeping skills in complicated songs he is known as "The Atomic Clock"
