"Eddie Murphy and former Spice Girl Mel B are reportedly set to wed in September.

The couple - who met at a party in Beverly Hills last month - have reportedly booked the plush Roosevelt Hotel, in Los Angeles, for their "dream wedding".

Mel, 31, and Murphy - who is 14 years her senior - are reportedly planning to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony attended by just close family and friends.

However, the pair have drawn up a star-studded guest list, which includes Whitney Houston and British actor Max Beesley, for their wedding party.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Mel just wants her and Eddie's close family to be there for the simple blessing.

"But they will be inviting their friends to a lavish wedding breakfast reception at the venue afterwards."

Both Mel and the Shrek star have been married before.

Murphy divorced his wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy - who he has five children with - in May after 12 years of marriage. Mel - better known as Scary Spice during her time in the Spice Girls - married dancer Jimmy Gulzar in 1998 but the couple got divorced three years later.

They have a seven-year-old daughter Phoenix-Chi."

"Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice, is four months pregnant with Eddie Murphy's baby. The news comes amid rumors that the couple will marry next month.

A source tells says that Brown came into the hip Le Bra Lingerie boutique in West Hollywood on Saturday and was gushing about her impending birth.

Brown, who has a 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, is a frequent shopper at the store and admitted the pregnancy had her feeling tired. Brown added that she was concerned she may be carrying twins since, she noted, they run in Murphy's family.

While on her shopping spree, Melanie picked up nearly $5,000 worth of Eres lingerie for herself and about $300 worth of La Perla men's undershirts and underwear for Eddie.

In April, Murphy's divorce from his ex-wife Nicole became final. The "Daddy Day Care" star has five children with Nicole and another son from a previous relationship.

Murphy's rep told "We do not comment on Mr. Murphy's personal life."

Eddie Murphy is the father of "Scary Spice" Melanie Brown's 2-month-old daughter, Brown's rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The results of the DNA test, which Murphy took on June 11, were received by Brown on Thursday afternoon, says rep Liza Anderson.

"He's the baby's father, it's official," says a source close to Brown. "The baby is undoubtedly, 110 percent his."

Of Brown, the source said, "There was no doubt in people's minds anyways, least of all hers. It wasn't a surprise to her. She knew all along."

Murphy's rep declined to comment.

Brown, 32, gave birth to the baby, Angel Iris Murphy Brown, on April 3, and has long contended that Murphy is the child's father.

She and the comic dated last summer, but in December Murphy told a Dutch TV show of Brown's pregnancy: "I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test."

In May, Brown told PEOPLE Murphy not only was refusing to take a paternity test but that he also had not contacted her since Angel was born: "He hasn't seen his daughter. My people have contacted his people and they just had no response to anything."

Eddie Murphy confirms paternity

Film star Eddie Murphy has for the first time publicly acknowledged he fathered a child with Spice Girl Mel B.
The Dreamgirls actor, 46, released a statement through his publicist saying he would "honour his responsibilities as a father".

His announcement came a day after Mel B - real name Melanie Brown - took legal action to establish him as a parent.

A DNA test in June confirmed that Mr Murphy was the father of Angel Iris Murphy Brown, who was born in April.

The couple dated last year and Ms Brown, 32, listed Mr Murphy as the father on the child's birth certificate.

She said she had taken legal action to have Mr Murphy named as the parent so that Angel would "always know that she was planned and wanted by both of us".

'Private matter'

But the actor said in his statement that the couple "never made any plans of ANY sort".

"He acknowledges paternity of the child, Angel, and has paid child support to Ms Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy."

The star added that he "views this as a private matter and as such, will not be making any further comments about it".

His relationship with Ms Brown lasted for several months in 2006 - a year after he divorced Nicole Mitchell Murphy, with whom he had five children.

Shortly after they split up, Mr Murphy was asked by a TV interviewer if he was excited that Ms Brown was pregnant.

"I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn't jump to conclusions, sir," he said.

According to US reports, Mr Murphy - who is the voice of Donkey in the Shrek films - is currently engaged to music and film producer Tracey Edmonds.
